2. The pioneer or matured industrial site in Sungai Petani are as follows:    

• Sungai Petani Industrial Estate
• Bakar Arang Industrial Estate
• Tikam Batu Industrial Estate
• MIEL Industrial Estate (two sites. One in Sungai Lalang and the other one in Bakar Arang)

Sungai Petani industrial estate , Bakar Arang industrial estate and Tikam Batu industrial estate are developed by PKNK or Kedah State Development Corporation.  

3. The potential areas to be developed are as follows :

• Cendana Industrial Estate
• Amanjaya Industrial Zone

4. The most advantage area is Cendana Industrial Estate as the area is     
     the most closest to the Penang port located at Butterworth.  
     Approximately around 40KM. The wide road and spacious land to be 
     developed could be seen as opportunity to the potential investors.  
     However, the only set back is the price of industrial land could be 
     expensive if compared to the matured site and the infrastructures    
     such as fibre network and drainage need to be improved.
